Slow Start

So the plan to blog everyday has failed miserably but I will try again.  The problem is that I keep changing my mind about what to write about.  I am a planner without a plan.  I should make a plan.  Step 1 - blog everyday. (Of course, this was the only step in my previous plan that failed miserably!)  Step 2 - set aside time to blog everyday.  When? When the babies are sleeping?  Early in the morning when the house is quiet?  Whenever the mood hits me? Step 3 - make blogging a requirement, not an option, like always eating breakfast (see Step 1!).  Step 4 - work through a list of topics.  I am great with lists - grocery lists, seed order lists, to-do lists, honey-do lists, short-term projects-to-do-around-the-house lists, long-term projects....you get the idea!  Here is my list of topics for this blog...it is definitely not definitive.  Un-shopping.  Veggie garden plans.  Knitting.  Baking.  Preserving.  Eating local.  Canoeing.  Hiking.  Girlfriends.  Book club.  Step 5 - be flexible (see Steps 1-4).

First Time

It looks and feels an awful lot like spring in our neck of the woods which is surprising since home is northwestern Ontario. Of course, next week could look and feel an awful lot like winter again. But to go with the spring theme...time of change and renewal and rebirth...I thought this might be a time to try something new! Hence, this blog. I'm not sure what I'm doing or what direction this blog might take, but here goes.
